Mommy & Daddy & Belly!

So, I was waiting until I looked more pregnant...TA Da! Here it is!!!!!!!!!!!
Meet the parents! So Lamarence and I were playing around on the weekend and here are the results...me sitting on his back. I know he was probably straining to hold me up.

Here Comes Tummy!!!

I think that every day someone new tells me how small I am to be 7 months pregnant. "Oh, you are so little", "Girl, you are carrying so well". While that is sweet and all, I don't feel so small. Granted, I have only gained weight in my tummy but when I look at myself in the mirror I am like "Whoa, who put a basketball in there?".

So today I am offically 28 weeks (7 months preggers). Thank God! I am so tired of being pregnant. Although there are moments when I never want it to end. Like when I am sitting on the couch at night and he is moving around and kicking. Or when Lamarence is talking to my tummy and the baby is ignoring him, just like I do.

The parts that I could do without are the peeing 400 times a day, especially in the middle of the night. I think I want to put a potty in my room. The moving around when I am trying to sleep. The fact that when I am hungry, I better get some food or who ever is around me is not going to like me.

Either way, this little bundle of joy is a miracle. He is my gift from God. Why God chose to give him to me I don't know? But I am so grateful and fully basking in the glow of carrying a life.

Stressed Out!

Ok, so there was this Faith Evans song and the lyrics went like this...
I really know how it feels to be, stressed out, stressed out

I am living every word of that song right now. The baby is good, but I am going just a little bit crazy.

Somebody please remind me that troubles don't last always!

His Photo Op.

So here is a pic of my bundle of joy. Although it is a bit hazy, I am sure you can make out the head. I just hope that the rest of his body catches up to the size of his head. But then again typically, little boys have huge heads and their little bodies have to catch up for like a couple of years. We will see.

Anybody have baby name suggestions? If so please send them to me. I am not really in love with the name that L came up with so I am entertaining other suggestions. I would like his name to be somewhat unique though. Oh and his last name will be BEST, so try to find something that flows with that.

Active Baby...Restless Mommmy!

This week must have been the fetus olympics. The baby has moved around sooooooo much. He does flips, he kicks, he pushes, he balls up into knots. All I know is that for a teenie tiny thing, he deserves the gold for keeping his mom awake. Last night for example, we are laying in the bed. Lamarence is half sleep, like always...I am trying to turn the tv off but I was watching Wedding Crashers...funny movie...all of a sudden the little boy inside my stomach starts doing back flips. I turn off the tv, ready to go to sleep and he is still at it. This is at 12 midnight...at 2:30am he is still at it...at 6:00am he takes a nap...and by 7:00am he is up for the day!

So now it is 11am and I am at work...barely able to keep my eyes open. The only reason I came to work today was because I have a lunch meeting. Please know that I didn't come because of the meeting...I came because of LUNCH!!!

Sidebar...Women are remarkable creatures...men would not be able to handle being pregnant...could you imagine a man with a lop sided tummy, a man having contractions, a man having to pee every five minutes, a man having mood swings and crying fits...well i can imagine it...too bad it will never happen!

LADIES...I NEED YOUR HELP....PLEASE POST SOME TIPS THAT YOU LEARNED WHILE PREGNANT OR TIPS THAT YOU HAVE HEARD OR GOTTEN FROM OTHER WOMEN WHO YOU KNOW WHO HAVE BEEN PREGNANT...REMEMBER THIS IS OUR BABY!

My Baby Has Ten Fingers and Ten Toes!

Ok, so today was the day. Firstly, today started off a bit rocky. You know those pregnancy hormones were going all over the place...I even started crying today. Everyone who knows me knows that I am generally not a cry baby but for some reason I was highly emotional.

We arrived at the hospital for the ultrasound and all was right with the world. We went in the room and I was lying on the table and all I could think of was. Today is the day that I get to see my little baby in action. I mean I feel the baby move all the time but today I get watch the baby move! From what the ultrasound revealed everything looked great with the baby. 10 fingers, 10 twos, 2 kidneys, a heart beating at a rate of 148 beats per minute, 2 feet, 2 hands, and a big old head...GO FIGURE!

So...I know the sex of the baby and I am very happy. I decided not to post the sex as of now. If you would like to know you can just ask me, but I didn't want to ruin this for the people who didn't want to know.

SIKE!...................................................IT'S A BOY!

I am having a little rock head boy. They showed us the penis...either that was a penis between his legs or his belly button is a huge outtie! L and I were both extremely excited with these results. We wanted a boy from day 1 and now in November we are going to have him.

I will wait until a later date to tell you the name we have decided upon.
